OVERVIEW
The Google Executive Summit is an annual event for their most prestigious clients. Events like these need to stand out with a compelling narrative, creativity and a visual identity to match.
Since this was a stand-alone event, I had the creative freedom to develop a unique lockup with its own identity. Google had chosen the theme 'Ways of Seeing' for the event, and I was tasked with bringing this concept to life in a creative and intelligent way. This involved creating a top-line brand and rolling it out across all the finer details of the event.
I drew inspiration from abstract and optical illusion artists who pushed the boundaries of how viewers perceive their work. I selected a typeface that could be deconstructed and viewed in various ways, building a kit of graphics to form interesting and surprising visuals. For the roll-out, I created top-line guidelines which the team used to develop a varied and exciting suite of deliverables.
