OVERvieW
Barc’s founder Caroline Shortt was looking for a softer, more editorial brand refresh for her established architecture practice. In collaboration with marketer Louise Gregson Williams of Leap Thirty Two, we developed a strategic brand framework to define their position in the market. I modernised the existing logo by giving it a cleaner appearance and pairing it with a blend of design-inspired and minimal sans serif plus a more approachable and sophisticated serif typographic suite. We established a contemporary colour palette that exuded warmth which complemented their project aesthetic. I created a topline overview of their new website, introducing the editorial and welcoming atmosphere we aimed for, and partnered with Studio Cotton to build the site according to these guidelines. Additionally, I created a suite of business tools with an elegant and contemporary feel, along with a comprehensive set of brand guidelines to ensure consistent application across all platforms.
