OVERvieW
Axon London brought me on board to help create the launch issue of John Lewis ‘At Home’ magazine. Employed as magazine consultants, Axon Creative director Lisa Clark, myself and seasoned editors Saska Graville and Suzanne Imre created a new magazine concept that would be re-built in house by the John Lewis team.
We collaborated with John Lewis marketing and creative teams to establish a contemporary look and feel and used our extensive editorial expertise to create editorial flow and narratives for the photoshoots and layouts. I was responsible for overseeing the topline aesthetic for the magazine, developing a series of moodboards for shoots and features and oversaw the production of templates for these to be reproduced within the in-house John Lewis teams. The initial launch magazine was created in 2020 and produced remotely, which required a robust project management system which I helped implement due to my experience of working with remote teams.
Following the success of the first magazine, I continued to work on four additional issues, helping to establish a solid foundation for what is now a staple publication in the John Lewis portfolio.
